The municipality of Baldramsdorf in the Region Millstätter See has a variety of leisure facilities just waiting for visitors: hiking on the Goldeck or the Millstätter See High Altitude Trail, cycling on the Drau Cycle Path, walking in the footsteps of the Counts of Ortenburg, etc.
The freely accessible ruins of Ortenburg Castle have a fantastic view into the valley, and here you feel as if you have been transported back to the 16th century. Ortenburg Castle was built below the former Burg Ortenburg, and is still known as the “Paternschloss” today. It is also the location of the first Carinthian Handicraft Museum with more than 40 handicraft rooms.
Baldramsdorf is very close to the local mountain, the Goldeck, and in winter this makes it the perfect starting point for a successful day’s skiing, ski tours or snowshoe hikes.
