The village of Flattach, with 1,300 residents, lies in the middle of the Region Nationalpark Hohe Tauern at the foot of Carinthia’s only all-year-round ski region, the Mölltaler Gletscher glacier.
In just a few minutes you can be more than 3,000 metres above sea level, enjoying the breathtaking panorama and wedeling across pistes with a uniform grip. 16 national ski teams, including those from Germany and Austria, also use the Mölltaler Gletscher as their training area.
If you are looking for activity off-piste, be sure not to miss a rafting tour or a kayak trip in the Mölltal white water arena, or the wild yet romantic Raggaschlucht gorge, a wonder of nature that fascinates both young and old: the water is sometimes roaring and plummeting, sometimes peaceful and clear, and it is all set within mountain scenery that goes back millions of years. A walk here will introduce you to the primal power of water and the beauty of nature!
