This idyllic climatic spa is a popular hiking and winter sports region with the locals and holidaymakers alike.

Hikers find fantastic trails between wooded mountains and flowering alpine meadows. Lake Flattnitzer See is surrounded by an alpine water trail, which is not only well worth admiring but also a perfect place to relax. A more demanding tour leads, for example, from Lake Diesling See via the Eisenhut to the Wintertaler. The Alpine Panorama Hiking Trail also offers a beautiful natural backdrop.

In winter the varied landscape, reached by a handful of lifts, offers leisurely slopes. A cross-country skiing trail of around 15 kilometres is laid out across the entire valley plain for both skaters and classic cross-country skiers.
