Mörtschach

 

The beauties of the Hohe Tauern National Park can be discovered during a variety of leisure activities such as cycling, climbing or hiking. Hiking in the Asten Valley in particular, surrounded by the well-tended alpine farms and the unique flora and fauna, offers much to admire.

In winter Mörtschach is an ideal starting point for trips to the Heiligenblut, Mölltaler Gletscher or Lienz Dolomites ski regions, and the Asten is also an Eldorado for ski tourers. The Sadnighaus run by the Austrian Alpine Association is a ski lodge offering accommodation, delicious regional specialities and hearty hospitality.
