In summer, by its own definition Sirnitz-Hochrindl is an “alpine hiking region”.
In summer, by its own definition Sirnitz-Hochrindl is an “alpine hiking region”.
And that really hits the nail on the head. At up to 2,400 metres above sea level, hikers will find a natural Eldorado with dense woodland, scented meadows, grazing cows, fresh air, crystal-clear mountain lake water, cosy alpine lodges and breathtaking views of the Carinthian Nockberge Mountains.
But it is not just nature that awaits here, as an oasis of relaxation far away from everyday life. There is also the delightful Albeck Castle in Sirnitz, with its sculpture park and an extensive culture programme. Here exhibitions, seminars, theatre, cabaret, talks and concerts take place all year round.
In winter, winter sports lovers are delighted by the family-friendly Hochrindl ski region, an inviting area on the gentle mountaintops of the Nockberge for downhill skiing, tobogganing, snowshoe hikes, cross-country skiing, winter walks and horse-drawn carriage rides.
