After all, Lake Klopeiner See and the nearby Lake Turnersee are amongst the warmest lakes in Europe. The continuous promenade around Lake Klopeiner See is an inviting place to stroll and relax, and in summer is the venue for street, lake and children’s festivals. One campaign that has gone down very well in the region is the Carinthian Lake Fitness, which is free of charge for guests staying overnight. The choice ranges from stand up paddle boarding or mountain biking to guided hikes.
A popular destination for families is the Klopeiner See forest adventure world, a nature park of more than 20,000 m² with a fox’s den, giant maze, forest nature trail, hill with giant slides and much more.
Feathered friends – or to be more precise 300 different species of birds – and a petting zoo and reptile house await in the Turnersee Bird Park.
