In summer the village of Bodensdorf is an ideal starting point for hikes, cycle tours and relaxed walks by Lake Ossiacher See. And talking of the lake: naturally there are all sorts of water sports facilities here.

The Gerlitzen Alpe, which can be reached by car from Bodensdorf, is also very popular with paragliders.

In winter the Gerlitzen is a family-friendly winter sports mountain with many facets. Not only skiers, but also winter hikers, tobogganers, ski tourers and freeriders will all get their money’s worth.

What you should in no event miss in Steindorf is the stone house built by the architect Günther Domenig. The striking building symbolises mountain and rock formations, as well as regional and dilapidated architecture from the rural region. The building attracts architecture students from all over the world.
